Welcome back to the Cause Cinema Spotlight.

We have two period pieces for you this week, one now in theaters and the other is streaming, and a heartbreaking tale of coverup in one of our most trusted institutions.

We’ll start there, with…

Scouts Honor: The Secret Files of the Boy Scouts of America

Scouts Honor: The Secret Files of the Boy Scouts of America can be seen on Netflix.

In season 2, the story of Livia Drusilla, from her early life as a naive young girl in the wake of Julius Caesar's assassination, through her rise to become the emperor Augustus' wife, becoming Rome's most powerful and influential empress.

You can see Domina on Amazon Prime.

In 1948, decades after fleeing Armenia to the US as a child, Charlie returns in the hope of finding a connection to his roots, but what he finds instead is a country crushed under Soviet rule. After being unjustly imprisoned, Charlie falls into despair, until he discovers that he can see into a nearby apartment from his cell window -- the home of a prison guard. As his life unexpectedly becomes entwined with the man's, he begins to see that the true spirit of his homeland is alive in its passionate people. Filled with warmth and humor, Amerikatsi celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the bonds that unite us all.

This award winning film was originally shot in the Armenian language, and has English subtitles.

Amerikatsi is currently in theaters.

As you know, we have a section on our Substack and YouTube channels called Hollywood on the Green, where we share more commercial fare, not always Cause related, and we will have golf specific related content.  We’ve just added a video countdown on our Top 10 golf movies of all time.  Be sure to check out.

And that’s a wrap for the Cause Cinema Spotlight.  Have a great weekend.
