Nightjars, Hotels and Beckham

And go BTS with Killers of the Flower Moon

Welcome back to the Cause Cinema Spotlight.

This week, relationships are tested.  One is cemented by a little round ball, another is pushed to the limits in the Australian outback, and one triggered by an outbreak.

We’ll start there with…

And Then Come the Nightjars

A heart-warming story of friendship and survival set against the backdrop of the 2001 Foot and Mouth outbreak. Adapted for the screen from Bea Roberts’ multi-award-winning stage play, And Then Come the Nightjars tells the story of an unlikely friendship between a Devon farmer and the vet who is assigned to cull his precious herd.

See And Then Come the Nightjars on Amazon, iTunes, GooglePlay and Vudu.

Beckham

A four-part Documentary Series Directed by Academy Award® Winner, Fisher Stevens. It features a mixture of never-before-seen personal archival footage from the last forty years, candid current-day moments, and interviews with the family, friends, and football figures who have been part of his journey.

You can see Beckham on Netflix.

The Royal Hotel

Americans Hanna and Liv are best friends backpacking in Australia. After they run out of money, Liv, looking for an adventure, convinces Hanna to take a temporary live-in job behind the bar of a pub called 'The Royal Hotel' in a remote Outback mining town. Bar owner Billy and a host of locals give the girls a riotous introduction to Down Under drinking culture but soon Hanna and Liv find themselves trapped in an unnerving situation that grows rapidly out of their control.

The Royal Hotel was just released  in Theaters

We’re counting down to the latest from master filmmaker Martin Scorsese, who again teams with Leonardo DeCaprio and Robert Dinero.  Killers of the Flower Moon will be released later this month, we’re excited to now take you behind the scenes with a series of clips and interviews.

And that’s a wrap for the Cause Cinema Spotlight.  Have a great weekend
